Viken Detection is a security firm with a suite of hand-held and under-vehicle imaging products featuring x-ray and backscatter technology. Their products provide law enforcement with a non-invasive approach to detecting potential weapons and drug paraphernalia. Viken wanted to develop a brand that provides a sense of confidence and compassion. 

They sought a creative partner beyond the typical tech sector agency to provide a fresh take with a sensitive approach. Pinkergreen helped relaunch the company with a new name, brand identity, product logos and positioning that reflects their next level security protection and life-saving technology.

NAMING

VIKEN refers to the sixth “VI” sense “KEN” and the ability to detect something hidden.

GEOMETRIC MEETS ORGANIC

We developed an organizing visual system for Viken’s lead detection and security products. Product lines are named for animals of prey, each known for their sharp perception skills. Each sub-logo is built with a system of geometric shapes and diagonal lines.

Our choices were well-received by the market and our customers, and within a year, our business tripled in revenue.
