the challenge
Viken wanted to differentiate themselves with a new name and brand that was both confident and compassionate. The new brand needed to appeal to dual audiences: product users (‘the enforcers’) and the public at large (‘the community’).
the solution
Pinkergreen ideated a unique name around the concept of the sixth sense: “VI”, the roman numerals for “6”, and “ken”, a word referring to acumen and knowledge. The tagline “one sense ahead” positions Viken as an authority in threat detection.
Pinkergreen devised a proprietary, expandable naming and logo system for Viken’s product lines. The resulting brand is serious and approachable, with a thoughtful use of color and type to speak to enforcers, the community, and talent alike. A thorough web-based brand platform unifies messaging and assets across marketing and communication initiatives.
